Dräger Introduces New Chemical Protective Suit - CPS 5900 Designed for Hazmat Situations
Draeger Safety Inc. today introduced a new single exposure, disposable, Level A gas-tight chemical protective suit for hazardous materials (hazmat) incidents. Called the Dräger CPS 5900, the fully-encapsulated suit is specially designed to provide complete protection against hazardous gases, liquids and particles.

Fast, reliable detection of O2, H2S or CO with new Draeger single gas detectors
Pittsburgh, PA - - Draeger is expanding its family of single gas detectors with the launch of the Draeger Pac 3500 and Dräger Pac 5500. Designed for personal protection, these gas detectors measure the concentration of oxygen, carbon monoxide or hydrogen sulfide in the air. The Draeger Pac 3500 has a lifespan of approximately two years and the Draeger Pac 5500 has an indefinite lifespan with proper maintenance and servicing. Both instruments use minimal battery power and need low maintenance which results in a low cost of ownership.

Draeger Announces New Multi-Gas Plus Cartridge
Pittsburgh, PA - - Draeger is pleased to announce the introduction of the new Multi-Gas Plus cartridge to fit our X-plore 3300/3500/5500 twin filter masks. These cartridges are unique because they do not carry the “escape only” designation for H2S protection, and can be used to work in environments up to 100ppm (IDLH level), providing proper change out schedules and OSHA guidelines are followed (service life graphs are available). This cartridge utilizes the same low-profile, swept-back design and two-point bayonet connection as the other X-plore cartridges.

Superior Product Design
Not one, but two Dräger products received the iF product design award in 2009: The Ponta beam system and the Infinity C700 for IT workstation. A total of 2,808 products from 39 countries were submitted. The international selection committee awarded 802 labels for superior product design. These two medical devices were among the first Dräger products developed according to the company’s current design guidelines.

Dräger achieves revised forecast
On the basis of the provisional, unaudited financial statements, Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA has achieved the forecast revised as of December 12, 2008. Net sales rose by 5.8 percent to EUR 1,924.5 million (2007: EUR 1,819.5 million), EBIT (before non-recurring expenses) amounted to EUR 130.5 million (down 14 percent).
